Day 01: Arrival & Leh Acclimatization

Experience a wonderful flight over the Himalayas, where you’ll witness the stunning snow-capped peaks, including Stok Kangri and Nun-Kun Massif. As the plane descends, admire Leh town with its monasteries, stupas, and Leh Palace. Upon arrival, a representative from Kailash Expeditions will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After a welcome tea and coffee, rest for the whole day to allow your body to acclimatize to the altitude. In the late afternoon, if you feel well enough, take a drive to Shanti Stupa and stay there for a while. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 02: Leh Local Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a tour of the Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Kali Temple, and Sangam. The Hall of Fame, built by the Indian Army, is a tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil war. Gurdwara Patthar Sahib, located 40 km from Leh, commemorates Guru Nanak’s visit to the region. At Magnetic Hill, witness the unusual phenomenon of a car moving uphill with its engine off. Finally, visit Sangam, the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers at Nimu, where you can enjoy rafting. Return to Leh in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 03: Nubra Valley via Khardungla

After an early breakfast, drive to the beautiful Nubra Valley via Khardung La, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft. The zig-zag trail continues until you reach Hunder village. Check into your hotel or camp upon arrival. In the afternoon, enjoy the beauty of the sand dunes and opt for a double-hump camel ride. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley (Camp or Hotel).

Day 04: Nubra to Pangong Lake

Wake up early and visit Diskit Monastery to get a wonderful view of the Nubra Valley. Later, drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok. Enjoy the turquoise color of the panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes. Visit popular photo spots, including the “3 Idiots” shooting location. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake (Camp).

Day 05: Pangong to Leh via Monasteries

After a late breakfast, stroll around the lake and soak in the beauty of nature. Later, drive back to Leh, visiting Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace along the way, if not already visited. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 06: Departure from Leh

After an early breakfast, depart to Leh Airport for your onward journey with sweet memories of Ladakh.
