Day 1: Tashkent Arrival
Upon arrival in Tashkent, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Spend your free time exploring the largest city in Central Asia at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent Exploration
Meet your guide in the morning at the hotel lobby. Begin your sightseeing tour of Tashkent starting from the old part of the city. Visit the Khast-Imam Complex, where the world-famous Quran of Caliph Uthman is preserved. Explore the Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari.
Continue to the Chor-Su Bazaar, a bustling market over a century old. After lunch, take a ride on the Tashkent Metro, the only metro currently operating in Central Asia. Visit Independence Square, a popular resting place for Tashkent residents, followed by Amir Temur Square, surrounded by notable buildings such as the “Uzbekistan” Hotel and the Amir Timur Museum.
Visit the Amir Temur Museum, home to over three thousand exhibits that tell the ancient history of the region. In the evening, explore Tashkent City Park, where the city showcases its modern side with parks, fountains, and grand structures. Return to the hotel and enjoy your free time.
Day 3: Cultural and Modern Tashkent Exploration
Meet your guide in the morning to continue exploring Tashkent. Begin with a visit to the Abulkosim Sheikh Madrasah, named after the respected Tashkent Khan, Abulkosim. Proceed to the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan, which houses over 50,000 exhibits, including artworks, manuscripts, and historical documents.
Visit the Manuscripts Institute, home to one of the world’s rarest collections of manuscripts, lithographic books, and historical documents. After lunch, head to the Tashkent Zoo, a center dedicated to the conservation and breeding of rare and endangered species.
Continue to the Tashkent TV Tower, the tallest structure in Central Asia, offering panoramic views of the city. End the day at Magic City, a unique entertainment complex designed in the architectural styles of various world cities. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Samarkand Day Trip
Begin your day with a transfer to Tashkent train station for your journey to Samarkand. Upon arrival, start your sightseeing with a visit to the Afrasiyab Museum, which houses important artifacts from the ancient settlement of Afrasiab.
After lunch, visit the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the final resting place of Tamerlane and his descendants. Continue to Registan Square, the heart of Samarkand, which consists of three magnificent madrassahs. Visit the Bibi Khanum Mosque, known for its majestic blue domes, and explore the bustling Siyob Bazaar.
Return to your hotel in Samarkand and enjoy your free time.
Day 5: Samarkand Exploration and Departure
Meet your guide in the morning and start your day with a visit to an Oriental carpet factory, where you can find luxury handmade carpets and textiles. Continue to the Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, a complex of mausoleums with stunning blue tilework.
Next, visit the Ulugbek Observatory, an astronomical marvel of medieval Uzbekistan. After lunch, explore Konigil village, known for its handicrafts and historical significance along the Silk Road.
In the evening, transfer to the Samarkand train station for your return journey to Tashkent. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner in Tashkent before being transferred to the airport for your flight back home. Your amazing Uzbekistan tour concludes as you are dropped off at the airport.
