Day 01: Arrive at Leh Airport (3505 meters / 11567 ft)

Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to the hotel. Complete rest for the first half of the day. After lunch, visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and Leh Market.

• Shanti Stupa: A white-domed Buddhist Stupa in Leh built to promote world peace and prosperity. It offers a picturesque view and is perfect for meditation.
• Leh Palace: A 17th-century former royal palace modeled after the Potala Palace in Tibet. It houses a museum and prayer room, and its rooftop offers a sweeping view of Leh and the Zanskar mountains.
• Leh Main Market: A vibrant hub in Ladakh with a variety of products ranging from jewelry and clothing to groceries and local street food.

Day 02: Leh – Sangam – Hall of Fame – Magnetic Hill – Gurudwara Pathar Sahib

After breakfast, drive for a full-day excursion:

• Sangam View: The confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.
• Magnetic Hill: A stretch of road on the Leh-Kargil Highway that defies gravity, pulling stationary vehicles uphill.
• Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: A significant Sikh shrine built to commemorate Guru Nanak’s visit to Ladakh.
• Spituk Monastery: Home to the wish-fulfilling Kali Mata.
• Hall of Fame: A war memorial museum.

Return to Leh for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh – Nubra Valley (via Khardungla Pass)

After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at 18,300 feet. Enjoy the stunning views. Visit Hunder, known for its rolling sand dunes and double-humped camels. Option for a camel safari (own cost). Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 04: Hunder – Siachen Base Camp – Sumur

After breakfast, drive to Siachen Glacier. Visit Disket Monastery en route, home to the giant Maitreya Buddha. Continue the drive to Sumur and visit the 150-year-old Samstanling Gompa and Panamik hot springs. Explore Sasoma village and reach Siachen Base Camp by afternoon. After exploring Siachen Glacier, drive back to Sumur. Dinner and overnight at Sumur Camp/Hotel.

Day 05: Sumur to Pangong Lake via Shayok

After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok, Tangtse, and Spangmik. Enjoy the beautiful route following the Shyok River. Reach Pangong Lake in the afternoon and spend the day at the lake. Overnight at Pangong.

Day 06: Pangong Lake – Leh (via Changla Pass)

During the early morning, enjoy a photo session around the lake. Post breakfast, drive to Leh via Changla Pass. On the way, visit Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Gompa, and Rancho School. Relax and stay overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Day 07: Leh Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Leh Airport for your return journey with sweet memories of the Ladakh Tour.

Special Instructions:

• Only post-paid mobile phones work in Leh-Ladakh, preferably BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone. As phones may not work at many places, keep your family members informed well in advance not to worry if they fail to contact you.
• You would hardly find any cellular network in most of the areas in Leh. BSNL works better here, however you would find Airtel signals also at some places.
• Carry good sunscreen lotion, sunglasses (goggles), and a cap with you to avoid sunburn as sun rays are direct and can burn your skin.
• Don’t forget to carry a photo ID with you. Passport is the best option. Voter Cards & Aadhaar Cards are also valid.
• Leh has only a few ATM machines where you can withdraw cash. But mostly these machines witness long queues of customers and run out of cash most of the time. So carrying enough cash is advisable.
