After breakfast at your hotel, visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag. This 12th-century masterpiece is considered the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat’s five towers symbolize Meru’s five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world, and the surrounding moat represents the ocean beyond.
Continue to the South Gate, with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. End the day at Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples, which has been relatively untouched since its discovery and retains much of its mystery. Late afternoon, enjoy a Remork ride (commonly called Tuktuk) around the city and have a blessing ceremony by a Buddhist monk for prosperity, happiness, and safety.
Overnight at your hotel in Siem Reap.
Note: During the visit to the Bakan Tower of Angkor Wat Temple:
After breakfast at your hotel, visit the floating village, located about 15 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Take a traditional wooden boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. Spend the rest of the day visiting the “Chantiers Ecoles – Les Artisans d’Angkor,” which provides training to young Cambodians to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting. Later, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Halong Bay Cruise The trip to Halong Bay was nothing short of spectacular. The cruise itself was well-organized, offering ample time for relaxation and photo opportunities amidst the stunning karst formations. The highlight was the delicious seafood lunch served on board. It felt truly magical to witness the majestic scenery as we sailed through the bay. This day deserves a solid 5/5 for its natural beauty and well-planned itinerary.
The adventure began smoothly with a warm welcome at Noi Bai International Airport. Our guide was prompt and informative during the transfer to our hotel. The afternoon sightseeing tour was engaging, particularly the visit to the Temple of Literature which provided insight into Vietnam’s educational history. Hoan Kiem Lake was a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, and I enjoyed browsing local shops at Dong Xuan Market. A slight delay in hotel check-in (due to the official time) was the only minor hiccup.
