Day 01: Srinagar Arrival and Gardens

Upon arrival in Srinagar via a scenic flight, you will be greeted by a Kailash Expeditions representative and transferred to your houseboat or hotel. Your exploration of paradise begins with a half-day tour of the world-famous Mughal Gardens, built during the Mughal reign in Kashmir. Visit Nishat Bagh, the garden of pleasure, and Shalimar Bagh, the abode of love. Enjoy a hot lunch at your houseboat. In the afternoon, experience a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, offering a pleasant feeling of being amidst the world’s most beautiful mountains with the scenic beauty surrounding the lake. Overnight stay in Houseboat, Srinagar.

Day 02: Srinagar to Kargil Journey

After morning tea and a sumptuous breakfast, embark on one of the most exhilarating and beautiful drives in the world, from Srinagar to Leh via Kargil. The road passes through the panoramic village, reaching Sonmarg (2740 mtrs), following lush green fields on both sides. After Sonmarg, the road becomes rough and wet, leading to Zojila pass (3527 mtrs), the Gateway of Ladakh, mostly covered with snow. The drive continues towards Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, where you’ll stop for refreshments and a passport check. Another few hours drive will take you to Kargil (2710 mtrs), your midway point to Leh. Overnight stay in Kargil.

Day 03: Kargil to Leh Transition

A full-day drive takes you through a transition from green valleys to the barren, stark mountains of Ladakh. Ascend a few passes and experience the first Buddhist village, Mulbek, with its giant statue of Matreya Buddha, believed to be naturally existing. Cross the highest pass, Fotula (4166 mtrs), reaching Lamayuru village for lunch and a visit to the oldest monastery, Lamayuru. Continue driving through the lower valleys of Ladakh (Shyam), crossing villages like Basgo and Nimu, with a view of the Zanskar River flowing into the Indus and their confluence. Ultimately, reach Leh (3500 mtrs). Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 04: Leh Local Sightseeing Tour

After lunch, visit Shanti Stupa, built by Japanese monks to promote world peace, a large, hilltop stupa with brightly colored reliefs on its mid-levels and topped by a spired white hemisphere. Later, visit Leh Palace, built in the 17th century in the grand tradition of Tibetan architecture. In the evening, roam around the local market to shop and try some local cuisine. Day 05: Leh to Nubra Valley

After an early breakfast, drive to the beautiful Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable Road in the World, 18,380 ft), with the zig-zag trail continuing until Hundar village. Upon arrival, check in to Nature’s Nest North Camp. In the afternoon, enjoy the beauty of the sand dunes and double-humped camels. Overnight stay in Camp or Hotel, Hunder.

Day 06: Turtuk Village Excursion

Early morning drive to Turtuk village, a village with exotic landscapes. Turtuk is about 115 kms from Nubra valley, and it takes about 3 to 4 hours to reach. The total population of Turtuk is just 4000 and follow Islam. About 40 years ago, this village was under Pakistan and speak Baltistan language. Explore this beautiful village and explore the life here, we will go for a walk around the village and also meet the people. Later come back to Hunder village. Overnight stay at the camps or Hotel.

Day 07: Nubra to Pangong Lake

Today, wake up early morning, visit Diskit monastery and have a wonderful view of Nubra valley. Later drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok. Enjoy the turquoise-colored panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes that will leave you awestruck. Visit popular photo spots, including the “3 Idiots” shooting location. Overnight stay at Camp, Pangong.

Day 08: Pangong to Sakti Scenic Drive

Enjoy the serene and mesmerizing sunrise over the crystal-clear waters of Pangong Tso. Take some time for photography and a short walk along the lake. Later, begin your journey from Pangong Lake to Sakti, it is a scenic route that showcases the region’s natural beauty and cultural richness. Stop at Tangtse village for a short break. Ascend towards Chang La, one of the world’s highest motorable passes. Head downhill towards Sakti village. Take your time on this scenic route, stopping for photography at picturesque valleys and streams. Visit the Chemrey Monastery, a peaceful and stunning monastery. Overnight stay at Sakti.

Day 09: Sakti to Jispa Scenic Route

In the morning, have breakfast and start your road journey to Sarchu, driving past the scenic Puga Valley, Tsokar Lake- another picturesque lake in Ladakh, Skyangchu Thang – a plateau stretching to 42 km. Lunch at the town of Pang. Continue your journey to Sarchu by driving past Namkee La and Lachlung La. Evening arrival in Jispa. Check-in formalities. Stay overnight in Jispa.

Day 10: Jispa to Manali Drive

After breakfast, drive to Manali. Get ready for a scenic drive by crossing Baralacha La (4845m). Next you cross the very popular Rohtang Pass, at an altitude of 13050 feet. Arrival in Manali. Check-in hotel.

Day 11: Manali to Chandigarh Departure
