Day 1: Arrival and Acclimatization

Upon arrival in Ladakh, immerse yourself in the incredible landscapes and allow yourself time to acclimatize to the high altitude of 3,500m. A short drive will take you to your hotel. Marvel at the rugged terrain and barren beauty of Ladakh from above. Enjoy a hearty meal amidst the majestic mountains, followed by relaxation at the property or reading a book. In the evening, explore the property at your own pace. Later, drive to visit Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist stupa on a hilltop in Changspa, built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. Then, visit Leh Palace. In the evening, take a walk around the local market. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Leh.

Day 2: Leh’s Local Wonders

After breakfast, embark on a tour of Leh’s local attractions. Visit the Hall of Fame, built by the Indian Army in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil War. Continue to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, constructed in 1571 to commemorate Guru Nanak’s visit to the region. Experience the phenomenon of Magnetic Hill, where cars appear to move uphill with their engines turned off. Finally, visit Sangam, the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers at Nimu. Return to Leh in the afternoon for relaxation and leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Leh.

Day 3: Nubra Valley Expedition

Following an early breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, crossing Khardung-la pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at 17,582 ft. Upon arrival, visit Diskit Monastery. Check in to your camp/hotel and in the evening, explore the sand dunes. Here, you can enjoy a camel ride on a Bactrian camel. You can also opt to attend a local cultural show, showcasing folk dances of the region. Return to your hotel/camp for overnight stay.

Day 4: Turtuk Village Immersion

After a hearty breakfast, witness the sunrise before journeying to Turtuk, a secluded village inhabited by ethnic Muslims. Immerse yourself in the rich history, vibrant culture, and traditions of the locals. Take in the serene landscapes of Turtuk before returning to Hunder by evening. Indulge in a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay in hotel/ camp.

Day 5: Pangong’s Turquoise Waters

Enjoy an early breakfast and drive to Pangong Tso via the Shyok River. Lunch is a midway stop at Durbuk/ Tangtse/ Spangmik. Marvel at the panoramic views of the turquoise lake, magnificent mountains, and breathtaking landscapes. For those who can brave the cold, consider a drive to the village of Mann for an astronomical journey through the night at Merak village and enjoy a guided star gazing session. Overnight stay in hotel/ camp.

Day 6: Hanle’s Enchanting Beauty

Following breakfast, drive to Hanle, crossing Chushul Village and Tsaga La pass. Hanle, located in the Changthang region of Ladakh, is home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory. Visit the Hanle Monastery, offering aerial views of the village. The 17th-century monastery of the Drukpa lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism houses around 60 monks. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the top of the monastery. Overnight stay in hotel/homestay.

Day 7: Tsomoriri Lake Exploration

After breakfast, check out and drive to Tsomoriri Lake via Ya Ya Tso (Lake) enroute crossing Nurpa Pass (16,100 Ft) later cross Mahe Bridge, on the way to the Lake. Arrive at Korzok by late noon. In the evening, take a walk around the lake to enjoy the scenic beauty. Overnight stay at Korzok(Tsomoriri).

Day 8: Return via Puga Sulphur

Following breakfast, drive back to Leh, visiting Puga Sulphur Mine, Tsokar Lake and crossing Taklang La Pass. In the evening, explore the local markets of Leh. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Leh.

Day 9: Farewell Ladakh

Fly back home with cherished memories of Ladakh.
