Barjora rests on the border of Bankura and Burdwan. There is a Barrage in this off-beat place. Pratapur lies within 2 kilometers from the Barrage. There is a Mandir in a beautiful setting. Let us know about the surrounding before we enter the government property. Vast green lands with lots of trees and a beautiful lake adorn this place. Few boats are harboured beside the lake and the scene looks stunning with the setting sun added to it. Puja is held on the stairs on the banks of the river in the evening with many ‘pujaris’. The ‘Aarti’ looks stunning and the chanting calms one’s soul. Many devotees attend this ‘sandhya aarti’. The ‘sandhya aarti’ is an incredible event to watch.
There is a sprawling 178 acres of horticultural land of the Government that plants, reaps, and rears horticultural saplings. The huge area is encapsulated with various types and sizes of trees. There are many flower-plants on the ground and the main path looks spectacular because of the tress on either side. In the middle of this horticultural property, there is an accommodation of 7 rooms. The property has plenty of open spaces amongst nature. Nature lovers, horticulturists, travelers seeking quietude for a couple of days must pay a visit to this new-found destination. The melody that the birds sing in this otherwise silent place sounds so pleasant. Find roads that take you nowhere because it’s really adventurous to take the path less traveled. You will find tables and chairs made of bamboo on the property under the shades of trees. There is a conference room that can fit around 50 guests and one 20-seater boardroom. The rooms of the Barjora Farmstay are well maintained and equipped properly. The huge place is perfect for playing a game. Indoor games, a gym, and a pretty pond with boating and fishing facilities are also available. The farm stay provides a mouth-watering delicious multi-cuisine restaurant. Arrangements of soft and light music, Bon-Fire and Bar-B-Que can also be done.

But it will be wrong to state certain places have the capacity to transport you to the past. Bishnupur has that capacity. This place can catapult you into the lost world of the 8th Century Malla dynasty infused with history at every turn. Aged gracefully at an astounding 400 years, Rasmanch is the pinnable attraction constructed by King Hambir. What was once the center of the town’s attraction during the ‘ras’ festival now stands high with regal tales embedded in its walls crafted with the traditional mortar of lentils, rice husk, spices, and milk.
