Day 1: Arrival Day
Upon arrival at Keflavik International Airport, travelers will individually transfer by Flybus shuttle bus to their accommodation in Reykjavik. If time allows, there will be an opportunity to explore Iceland’s vibrant capital city on their own.

Day 2: Volcano Crater, Fjords & Mountains
At 09:00, travelers will meet the tour guide and depart from Reykjavík Natura Berjaya Iceland Hotels. The journey will begin by traveling west along the scenic Hvalfjörður fjord and through the town of Borgarnes. An easy hike on Grábrók volcano crater amidst a greenish lava field will be enjoyed. The journey continues north with a visit to Glaumbær, one of Iceland’s most beautiful turf house farms and folk museums. The drive will then take travelers along a scenic fjord landscape and over several mountain passes until reaching Akureyri, the capital of North Iceland. Upon arrival, there will be time to walk around and explore the beautiful town of Akureyri.

Day 3: The Capital of North Iceland, Lake Mývatn & Geothermal Baths
In the morning, travelers will explore the town of Akureyri, known as the capital of North Iceland, and enjoy the panoramic view over the Eyjafjörður fjord. Optional whale watching tours are available at 09:00. In the afternoon, the journey will continue to Goðafoss, the waterfalls of the Gods. Travelers will then explore Lake Mývatn, renowned as a geological wonderland with abundant birdlife. They will see the strange lava formations at Kálfaströnd, the pseudo craters at Skútustaðir, and the tephra cone Hverfjall. The day will end with relaxation in the geothermal Mývatn Nature Baths, offering a fantastic view over the area.

Day 4: Lava Labyrinth, Hot Springs & Travel East

The afternoon includes a visit to the hot spring area of Námaskarð, featuring bubbling mud pools and steaming solfataras. The journey will then head through the uninhabited highlands and moon-like surroundings to East Iceland. From June to August, a detour to the powerful waterfall Dettifoss is included.

Day 5: East Fjords, Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach
The day will be spent admiring the dramatic fjord landscape and its tiny fishing villages in the East Fjords. Along the route, there will be a visit to an attractive stone and mineral collection. In the afternoon, travelers will see Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier, visible across Southeast Iceland. The day will conclude with a visit to Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, filled with floating icebergs, where seals can often be seen swimming in the arctic waters. A boat tour between floating icebergs is included from May through September. Travelers can walk on the black sandy beach known as The Diamond Beach, where large icebergs get stranded.

Day 6: Vatnajökull National Park & South Coast

In the afternoon, the scenic drive continues across the Eldhraun lava field, through the south coast’s sandy desert, overlooked by mountainous cliffs, glaciers, and waterfalls. They will visit Gullfoss, “the golden falls,” and travel to Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
