Today begins with a panoramic tour of Istanbul, a city straddling two continents. The tour features a visit to the Süleymaniye Mosque, the largest in Istanbul, and includes stops at the ancient city walls, the Golden Horn, and the vibrant fishing district, with an opportunity to admire the exterior of Hagia Sophia. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Taksim Square, the city’s bustling commercial hub. Here, you can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants and take a ride on the charming old tram, or visit the nearby Galata Tower.

The day starts with a visit to Topkapi Palace, the former administrative center of the Ottoman Empire. Following this, embark on a two-hour private boat trip on the Bosphorus, the strait connecting the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara, separating Istanbul’s European and Asian sides. Enjoy the lively activity on the strait, passing under the bridges linking Europe and Asia, and admire the Sultan’s palaces, traditional wooden houses, and Ottoman architecture. Disembark on the Asian side, in the Uskudar district, and continue to Ankara, arriving in time for dinner.

After breakfast, the day begins with a tour of Ankara, the capital of Turkey, including visits to the impressive Mausoleum of Ataturk, Ankara Castle, dating back to the 8th century B.C., and the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. The journey continues to Cappadocia, with a stop at the Salt Lake for lunch and a visit to Hacibektas, a pilgrimage site, home to the mausoleum of a 13th-century Sufi mystic. The day concludes in Nevsehir, with dinner included.

A full day exploring Cappadocia, renowned for its unique landscapes, ancient churches, and troglodyte villages. Visit the Göreme Valley open-air museum, marveling at the rock-cut churches. Next, visit Uchisar, home to a natural fortress, and Kaymacli, an underground city. On the way back to Avanos, stop at Pasabag (Fairy Chimneys) for a walk in this scenic area. Enjoy some free time before dinner.

Travel to the Ihlara Valley, known for its cool waters and rock-cut churches. The day includes visits to a 13th-century caravanserai and the Mevlana Mausoleum (Rumi) in Konya, learning about the Dervish order. You have an optional attendance of a Dervish dance performance at the cultural center.

Travel along a scenic route between the lakes, arriving at Egridir, a charming town by a lake, with time for lunch. Continue to Hierapolis-Pamukkale, where mineral-rich waters have formed the Cotton Palace.

Travel to Ephesus, the best-preserved ancient city in Asia Minor. Explore the House of the Virgin Mary, the Basilica of St. John, and the Ephesus ancient city ruins. Continue to Kusadasi, a coastal town with a lively atmosphere.
Note: During high season, from May through October, accommodations will be provided in Aydin instead of Kusadasi. In this case, after exploring Ephesus, we’ll make a stop in Kusadasi (4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), where we’ll include a panoramic tour of the city before continuing on to Aydin.

Set off for Izmir, with a brief tour of the city. Head inland, pausing for lunch, before arriving in Bursa, featuring a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the commercial districts, mosques, religious schools, public baths, and the Green Mosque. Arrive in Istanbul by the end of the day.

Cappadocia’s landscape is out of this world! Exploring the underground city of Kaymakli was a unique experience. Ankara Castle was mind-blowing. All hotels were on great locations. Ocean6 Holidays’ arrangements were perfect. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this tour!
