Day 01: Arrive at Leh Airport (3505 meters / 11567 ft)

Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to the Hotel. Complete rest for the first half of the day. After lunch, if suitable, visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and Leh Market.

• Shanti Stupa: A white-domed Buddhist stupa built to promote world peace and prosperity, offering picturesque views and a perfect place to meditate.
• Leh Palace: A 17th-century former royal palace modeled after the Potala Palace in Tibet, with a museum, prayer room, and a rooftop offering sweeping views of Leh and the Zanskar mountains.
• Leh Main Market: A vibrant hub in Ladakh offering a variety of products ranging from jewelry and clothing to groceries and local street food.

Day 02: Leh – Sangam – Hall of Fame – Magnetic Hill – Gurudwara Pathar Sahib

After breakfast, drive for a full-day excursion to:

• Sangam View: The confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.
• Magnetic Hill: A stretch of road that defies gravity, pulling stationary vehicles uphill.
• Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: A significant Sikh shrine commemorating Guru Nanak’s visit to Ladakh.
• Spituk Monastery: Home to the wish-fulfilling Kali Mata.
• Hall of Fame: A war memorial museum.

Return to Leh for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh – Nubra Valley (via Khardungla Pass)

After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at 18,300 feet. Enjoy the stunning views. Visit Hunder, known for its rolling sand dunes and double-humped camels. Option for a camel safari (own cost). Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 04: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake

After breakfast, check out and leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), approx. 6 – 7 hrs drive. En route visit Diskit Monastery and Maitreya Buddha statue. Arrive at Camp, later have free time at leisure and enjoy the color-changing lake and the sunset on the banks of the lake. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.

Day 05: Pangong Lake to Hanle

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Hanle, crossing Chushul Village, Chushul War Memorial, and Tsaga La (15,200 ft). Hanle is home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory, featuring the world’s highest altitude telescope and the second largest gamma-ray telescope. Enjoy the stay with locals at a local guest house. Overnight stay at Hanle.

Day 06: Hanle to Tsomoriri

After breakfast, check out and drive to Tsomoriri Lake, crossing Mahe Bridge. Arrive at Korzok by late noon. Evening, take a walk around the lake to enjoy the scenic beauty. Overnight stay at Korzok (Tsomoriri).

Day 07: Tso Moriri to Tsokar – Taglangla – Leh

After breakfast, retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau, home to the Changa nomads and many rare wildlife species. After sightseeing, take the Manali-Leh road to return to Leh, crossing Taglang-la pass (alt: 17,585 ft). Arrive at the hotel in Leh for dinner and overnight.

Day 08: Leh Airport Departure

Early morning transfer to the airport and fly back to your destination with sweet memories of Ladakh

Special Instructions:

• Only post-paid mobile phones work in Leh-Ladakh, preferably BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone. As phones may not work at many places, keep your family members informed well in advance not to worry if they fail to contact you.
• You would hardly find any cellular network in most of the areas in Leh. BSNL works better here, however you would find Airtel signals also at some places.
• Carry good sunscreen lotion, sunglasses (goggles), and a cap with you to avoid sunburn as sun rays are direct and can burn your skin.
• Don’t forget to carry a photo ID with you. Passport is the best option. Voter Cards & Aadhaar Cards are also valid.
• Leh has only a few ATM machines where you can withdraw cash. But mostly these machines witness long queues of customers and run out of cash most of the time. So carrying enough cash is advisable.
