Day 01: Arrival and Athens Exploration

Welcome to Athens! Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy some free time to relax and settle in. In the afternoon, check the information boards at the hotel reception for details about the start of your tour.

Day 02: Thermopylae and Meteora

Embark on an early morning departure towards northern Greece. The first stop is Kamena Vourla, a beautiful seaside tourist hub. Then, visit the Thermopylae Mountain Pass, famous for its historical battle. Following that, we’ll visit Kastraki, a picturesque village where you´ll have free time for lunch and beautiful views of the entire valley. Finally, we will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Meteora, where admission to one of its monasteries is included. Dinner will be provided.

Day 03: Delphi and Byzantine Art

Journey south through the Thessaly region to reach Delphi. You’ll explore the archaeological site overlooking the Gulf of Corinth and there will be time for lunch. Afterward, head to the Hosios Loukas Monastery, a World Heritage Site renowned for its 11th-century mosaics. In the evening, we will continue our journey to Athens.

Day 04: Athens City Tour & Plaka

Embark on a city tour of Athens with a local guide. See the Presidential Mansion, the Panathenaic Stadium, the National Library, and the city center squares. Explore the newer neighborhoods developed after the 2004 Olympic Games. The tour concludes at the Acropolis (admission not included). In the evening, you’ll be transferred to the historical neighborhood of Plaka.

Day 05: Mykonos Island Escape

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Lavrio Port for an 11:00 a.m. departure on a Mediterranean cruise. You’ll enjoy scenic sea views as we sail, arriving in Mykonos at 6:00 p.m. You will have free time to explore this charming island, known for its windmills and whitewashed houses. Departure from Mykonos at 11:00 p.m.

Day 06: Ephesus and Patmos Voyage

Early morning arrival in Kusadasi (Turkey) at 7:00 a.m. You’ll have time to shop in the bazaars before taking an included excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus. The cruise departs Kusadasi at 12:00 p.m. for Patmos, where you will arrive at 4:00 p.m. On Patmos you can visit the cave where St. John the Apostle wrote the Apocalypse, near the Monastery of the Apocalypse. The cruise departs Patmos at 9:00 p.m.

Day 07: Crete & Santorini Islands

The cruise continues, with stops in Heraklion, the capital of Crete, where you can explore the Minoan civilization. The second stop is Santorini, the dreamlike Greek island famous for its ravines and blue and white villages.

Day 08: Athens Tour Ends

The journey comes to an end at 6:30 a.m. at Lavrio Port.
