Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar airport, you will be greeted by our representative. We will then proceed to Puri, a vibrant coastal city. On the way, visit the historic Dhauli Peace Pagoda, where Emperor Ashoka is said to have converted to Buddhism. Next, visit the ancient Lingaraj Temple, a masterpiece of Kalinga architecture, and the unique Chausath Yogini Temple, known for its 64 yoginis. Upon reaching Puri, check in to your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing at the scenic Puri Beach. Overnight stay at Puri.
Start your day with a visit to the sacred Sri Jagannath Temple (Note: Entry is restricted to Hindus). Continue to the Gundicha Temple, also known as Mausima Temple, and the Bedi Hanuman Temple. After the temple visits, depart for Satapada at Chilika Lake. En route, visit the Alarnath Temple. At Chilika Lake, take a boat ride (at your own expense) to witness the playful Irrawaddy dolphins and explore the Hradaya-Sagar Sangam, where the lake meets the sea. Spend the day enjoying the serene beauty of India’s largest inland lake, which covers over 1,100 square kilometers. Return to Puri in the evening for leisure time at the golden beach and shopping at the local market. Overnight stay at Puri.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive along the scenic marine drive to Konark. Visit the Chandrabhaga Beach and the Ramchandi Temple before reaching the renowned Sun Temple, also known as the Black Pagoda, famous for its intricate stone carvings. In the evening, enjoy the light and sound show at Konark (at your own cost). Afterwards, proceed to Bhubaneswar and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast, check out and drive to the ancient Buddhist sites of Lalitgiri, Udayagiri, and Ratnagiri. Together, these sites form the Golden Triangle of Odisha and are known for their historic monasteries and stupas. Also, visit Langudi Hill, which houses 34 rock-cut Buddhist stupas. After sightseeing, continue your journey to Bhitarkanika. Overnight stay at Bhitarkanika.
In the morning, explore Bhitarkanika, a unique mangrove ecosystem and a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. Enjoy a boat cruise through the mangroves to spot crocodiles and various bird species. Trek to the ancient King’s hunting tower (a 3/4 hour trek) and visit the Crocodile Museum and Interpretation Center. Later, drive back to Bhubaneswar and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast, embark on a local sightseeing tour of Bhubaneswar. Visit the architecturally splendid Rajarani Temple, the Mukteshwar Temple known for its beautiful archway, and the Parshurameshwaram Temple. Explore the ancient Jain caves at Khandagiri and Udaygiri. Later, visit the Nandankanan Zoo, renowned for its white tiger and lion safaris (closed on Mondays). If time permits, visit the Tribal Museum (closed on Mondays). Spend the rest of the day shopping. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Depending on your flight/train schedule, visit Ekamrahaat for some last-minute shopping. Transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey, taking with you wonderful memories of your Odisha tour.
