Day 1: Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park

Welcome to Awesome Assam. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. Transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the One Horn Indian Rhinoceros. Check in at your Hotel/ Resort. In the evening, you may visit Orchid Park and the nearby Tea Plantations. Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 2: Kaziranga National Park

Early morning, explore Kaziranga National Park on the back of an elephant with the most popular Elephant Safari of Kaziranga National Park. Apart from the world’s endangered One Horn Indian Rhinoceros, the park sustains half the world’s population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild Elephants, and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga National Park is also a bird watcher’s paradise and home to some 500 species of birds, including the Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla’s Fishing Eagle, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed Goose, Whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons, and Pelicans. Return to the Hotel/ Resort for breakfast. In the afternoon, proceed for a Jeep Safari. Evening return to the Hotel/ Resort. Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 3: Kaziranga to Shillong

Start early after breakfast and proceed to Shillong, also called ‘Scotland of the East”. Reach the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani). On arrival at Shillong, check-in at your hotel. Visit Ward’s Lake where you can enjoy boating. In the evening, you can visit Police Bazaar, which is the biggest local market. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 4: Excursion to Krangsuri Waterfalls & Laitlum Canyons

After breakfast, proceed to Krangsuri Falls, one of the best waterfalls in Meghalaya. You can swim in a naturally formed pool here or go boating above the Krangsuri Falls. You can also go behind the waterfall and see the water falling in front of you. Return early to reach Laitlum Canyons for its breathtaking canyon view by late noon. Evening return to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 5: Transfer to Cherrapunjee & Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, transfer to Cherrapunjee. En route, visit Elephant Waterfalls, Mawkdok Viewpoint, Kabakha Waterfalls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls Viewpoint, Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sister Waterfalls Viewpoint, and Eco Park. Evening return to Cherrapunjee. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 6: Excursion to Dawki & Mawlynnong Village

After breakfast, visit Mawlynnong Village, the cleanest village in India. This cute and colourful little village is known for its cleanliness. It is situated 90 km from Shillong and offers many interesting sights, such as the Single Living Root Bridge at Riwar Village. Visit Dawki, which is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. You can enjoy boating in the crystal-clear waters of the Umgnot River during winters. If visiting on a Friday or Sunday, go to Tamabil (Indo Bangladesh Border). Evening return to Cherrapunjee. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 7: Tour Ends

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport with everlasting memories for your onward journey.
