Day 1: Transfer to Shillong
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative. From there, you will embark on a scenic drive to Shillong, often referred to as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, you can enjoy a few sightseeing stops, such as the Umiam Lake (Barapani), a majestic reservoir surrounded by lush green hills. Upon arrival in Shillong, check in at your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the local area or simply relaxing at your hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 2: Transfer to Cherrapunjee
After a hearty breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Cherrapunjee, famous for being one of the wettest places on Earth. On the way, you will visit several scenic spots, including the Shillong Peak, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city, and the breathtaking Elephant Falls. Upon arrival in Cherrapunjee, check in at your hotel. Spend the rest of the evening enjoying the tranquil surroundings. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 3: Excursion to Dawki & Mawlynnong Village
After breakfast, set off for an excursion to Dawki and Mawlynnong. Dawki, located on the Indo-Bangladesh border, is famous for the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. Enjoy a boat ride on the river, taking in the stunning scenery. Next, visit Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia. Explore the village and the fascinating Living Root Bridges nearby. Return to Cherrapunjee in the evening and unwind. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 4: Transfer to Shillong
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then check out and transfer back to Shillong. On your way, stop at various points of interest, such as the Nohkalikai Falls, the fourth-highest waterfall in the world, and the Mawsmai Cave, known for its limestone formations. Arrive in Shillong and check in at your hotel. Spend the evening at your leisure, perhaps exploring Police Bazaar, the bustling local market. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 5: Transfer to Guwahati Airport
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey to Guwahati Airport. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief visit to Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Hindu temples dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. Continue to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey, bringing your trip to a close with cherished memories of your time in the beautiful state of Meghalaya.
