Day 1: Arrival in Vientiane

Welcome to Vientiane! Upon arrival at the airport, meet the guide who will escort you to the hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane City Tour – Vang Vieng (B/L)

After breakfast, start the day by visiting the major sights of Vientiane. Begin with Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple housing thousands of miniature Buddha statues, followed by the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Continue to That Luang Stupa, Lao’s national precious heritage. On the way, stop for photos at the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.

In the afternoon, transfer to Buddha Park, home to thousands of Buddha statues inspired by Hindu culture. On the way back, visit the Lao Textile Museum to learn about Lao handicraft textiles. Then, drive 1.5 hours on the highway to Vang Vieng. Check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

Day 3: Vang Vieng Exploration – Luang Prabang (B/L)

After breakfast at the hotel, cross the bridge to visit Tham Jang Cave (Dried Caves) and Blue Lagoon 1-2. Enjoy a boat ride on the Namsong River for sightseeing. In the afternoon, take an express train to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax at leisure. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang City Tour – Pak Ou Caves (B/L)

After breakfast, embark on a short-guided tour, starting with Wat Mai and the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a collection of artifacts reflecting Lao culture. Continue to Wat Sene, the city’s oldest temple, and the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ many ethnic cultures. Visit the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its classical Laotian architecture.

Board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, offering panoramic views of the tranquil countryside. Visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues. Stop at the small village of Ban Xang Hai to see local rice wine distillation. Return to the city in the afternoon and climb Mount Phousi for a sunset view and explore the Night Market. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 5: Luang Prabang – Alms Giving & Kuang Si Waterfalls – Departure (B/L)

Begin the day early to participate in the morning alms-giving ritual, offering food to saffron-clad monks. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups, including Ban Ouay (Hmong village), Ban Ou (Laoloum village), and Ban Thapene (Khmu villages). Continue to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall to enjoy a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. Return to town and transfer to the airport for departure.
