The tour kicked off with a seamless transfer from Bolpur station to our accommodation in Shantiniketan. The local representative was exceptionally welcoming, making the check-in process smooth. After lunch, we explored the Uttaryan Complex, where the museums offered a deep dive into Tagore’s legacy and the cultural richness of the area. The visit to Deer Park and Amar Kutir added a delightful touch, allowing us to engage with local artisans.
The second day was filled with spiritual exploration. Our visit to the Saithia Sati Pith Temple and the Tarapith Temple was enlightening, especially witnessing the rituals and the devotion of fellow visitors. The highlight, however, was the experience at Bakreswar, where the hot springs provided a rejuvenating respite. The combination of temples and natural beauty truly captured the essence of the region.
