Day 1: Arrival and Initial Exploration in Similipal National Park
Begin your journey early in the morning, arriving at Jashipur after a road trip from Kolkata (277 km) or Jhargram (139 km). Upon arrival, proceed to the Similipal National Park Range Office at Dhobadiha to obtain your entry permits. With the formalities completed, embark on a full-day excursion into the vast and pristine Similipal National Park, covering an area of 2,750 square kilometers.

Your adventure starts with a visit to Khairi Niwas, where you can immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings. As you continue deeper into the park, enter through the Kaliani and Kalikaprsad Check Gates. Along the way, marvel at the ancient Sal Tree, estimated to be around 340 years old, and a majestic Champa Tree, which has stood for approximately 300 years. The serene Khairi River will accompany you as you make your way to your accommodation at OFDC Cottages in either Kumari or Gurguria.

After checking in, take some time to relax, freshen up, and enjoy a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a village walk to interact with the local communities and learn about their way of life. Return to the cottages in the evening for a peaceful overnight stay, surrounded by nature.

Day 2: Exploring Similipal’s Natural Wonders
After a nourishing breakfast, prepare for a full day of exploration within Similipal National Park. Your day begins with a visit to the Pine Forest, where you can stroll through the tall trees and breathe in the fresh forest air. Next, head to the Orchidarium, a haven for orchid enthusiasts, showcasing a variety of these beautiful flowers. Continue your journey along the scenic Khairi River, taking in its natural beauty.

Break for lunch at Kumari, Gurguria, or Uski, depending on your location. In the afternoon, visit the mesmerizing Uski Waterfalls, where the cascading waters offer a refreshing experience. The surrounding forest adds to the charm, creating a picturesque setting. Later, make your way to Chahala, a popular spot for wildlife sightings, where you might spot various animals in their natural habitat. Return to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Trekking and Waterfalls Adventure
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before setting out on a full-day excursion. Begin with a trek to the serene Asurkhal Falls, where the hike through the forest rewards you with stunning views of the waterfall. After your trek, break for lunch at Kumari, Gurguria, or Barehipani.

Post-lunch, visit the towering Barehipani Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India, plunging from a height of 1,308 feet. The sight of the water cascading down the cliffs is truly awe-inspiring. Continue to Joranda Falls, where water tumbles down from 498 feet, creating a tranquil pool below. If time permits, revisit Chahala for another chance to observe wildlife before heading back to your accommodation for a restful overnight stay.

Day 4: Departure from Similipal National Park
After a final breakfast at the nature camp, check out from your accommodation in Kumari or Gurguria. Bid farewell to the serene landscapes of Similipal National Park as you exit through the Kaliani and Kalikaprsad Check Gates at Jashipur.
