Day 01: Burgundy’s Picturesque Towns

On Friday, 09 May 2025, the tour departs from Paris towards eastern France, journeying through Burgundy’s scenic landscapes. The first stop is Noyers-sur-Serein, renowned for its narrow streets, half-timbered houses, central square, and historic walls. The tour then continues to Beaune, Burgundy’s wine capital, for lunch and a leisurely walk, with an option to visit the Hospices of Beaune. The journey concludes in Dijon, the regional capital, where you can explore medieval and Renaissance buildings, including the Palace of the Dukes.

Day 02: Abbeys and Medieval Villages

On Saturday, 10 May 2025, the tour departs Dijon for Fontenay Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with included admission to this Cistercian center. The tour then stops at Semur-en-Auxois, a medieval city with ancient walls. Continuing in Burgundy, you’ll have time for lunch and a stroll in Vézelay, a village famous for its basilica and connection to the Way of St. James. In the afternoon, the route continues to Paris, arriving in the evening.
