Day 01: Arrival and Kathmandu Rest
Upon arrival in Kathmandu (1300m), you will be greeted by our representative with a traditional Rudrakshya mala at the airport and transferred to your hotel. This day is reserved for rest and relaxation, allowing you to settle in and adjust to the new environment. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu & Nepalgunj Bound
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, visiting Pashupatinath Temple and Budhanilkantha. In the afternoon, you’ll take a 1-hour flight to Nepalgunj (165m) and check into your hotel. In the evening, a brief program will be arranged by your tour manager. Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.
Day 03: Journey to Taklakot
An early morning start takes you on a 1-hour flight to Simikot (2950m), where you’ll complete immigration formalities. From Simikot, a 15-minute helicopter flight will take you to Hilsa. After a short 10-minute walk to cross the border, a 1-hour drive will bring you to Taklakot (3800m), where you will complete immigration formalities on the China side. Overnight stay in Taklakot.
Day 04: Taklakot Acclimatization Day
Today is dedicated to acclimatization in Taklakot (Purang). You can warm up with a walk around the local market, where you can shop for useful items for the Kailash kora or find souvenirs. Overnight stay in Taklakot.
Day 05: Manasarovar Lake Parikrama
After breakfast, a 2-hour drive will take you from Purang to Lake Manasarovar (Chiu Gompa) at 4560m. You will then embark on a 3-hour Lake Parikrama, which includes a holy bath and puja at Chiugompa, near Lake Manasarovar. Overnight stay in Guesthouse near Lake Manasarovar.
Day 06: Trek to Diraphuk
Following breakfast and a packed lunch, you’ll drive to Yama Dwar via Darchen (50 km / 1.5 hrs). After darshan of Mt. Kailash’s south face, begin your trek to Diraphuk (4950m), which is a 5-6 hour / 14 km journey. Those not participating in the kora will stay back at the hotel in Darchen. Overnight stay in Guesthouse at Diraphuk.
Day 07: Dolma La Pass to Zuthulphuk
Wake up early to witness the darshan of Golden Kailash on a clear day. After an early breakfast, begin your trek from Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk (4850m), crossing the Dolma La High Pass (5600m) and visiting Gauri Kunda, which is a 9-10 hour / 22 km journey. Overnight stay in Guesthouse at Zuthulphuk.
Day 08: Return to Hilsa / Simikot
Finish the trek near Darchen (1.5 hrs / 8 km) and drive to Taklakot to complete immigration formalities. Then, exit to Hilsa (1 hr). If conditions permit, fly to Simikot by helicopter for an overnight stay. If the helicopter situation restricts, you may stay back in Hilsa. There may also be an opportunity for some passengers to fly to Nepalgunj to make the next day’s flight more comfortable for the remaining passengers. Overnight stay in Potala Guesthouse or similar in Hilsa / Simikot.
Day 09: Fly Back to Nepalgunj
From early morning, you will be flying to Nepalgunj and stay in Nepalgunj OR if there is any flight seat available we will manage flight to Kathmandu otherwise we will have flight schedule for tomorrow. Overnight stay in Hotel Kalptaru or similar in Nepalgunj.
Day 10: Kathmandu Arrival & Relaxation
After morning breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu, check into hotel and refresh. This day is free for shopping or relaxation. Overnight stay in Hotel Ramada Wyndham or Similar in Kathmandu.
Day 11: Final Departure
Enjoy breakfast before your departure transfer to the airport for your flight back home, marking the end of your tour.
