12 Jyotirlinga Yatra

Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai

Arrive in Mumbai and transfer to your hotel. Settle in and relax, preparing for the spiritual journey that awaits.

Day 2: Mumbai – Bhimshankara – Nasik (415 km/8 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Nasik. En route, visit Bhimshankara, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, located in the Sahyadri hills. Enjoy the scenic drive through lush greenery and mountain landscapes, then continue to Nasik and check into your hotel.

Day 3: Nasik – Tryambakeshwar – Shirdi (150 km/3 hrs)

After breakfast, visit Tryambakeshwar, another Jyotirlinga nestled in the Brahmagiri hills. The temple is renowned for its unique architecture and sacred significance. Continue your journey to Shirdi, the home of the revered saint Sai Baba. Check into your hotel upon arrival.

Day 4: Shirdi – Grishneshwar – Aurangabad (230 km/5 hrs)

Start your day with a visit to the holy sites in Shirdi, including Dwarkamai, Khandoba Temple, and Samadhi Mandir. Proceed to Aurangabad and visit Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, situated near the famous Ellora Caves. Check into your hotel in Aurangabad.

Day 5: Aurangabad – Indore (410 km/7-8 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Indore, a vibrant city known for its rich history and cultural heritage. Check into your hotel and relax after the long journey.

Day 6: Indore – Omkareshwar – Indore (80 km/2 hrs one way)

Embark on a day trip to Omkareshwar, one of the sacred Jyotirlingas situated on an island in the Narmada River. Explore the serene surroundings and visit the ancient temple. Return to Indore in the evening.

Day 7: Indore – Ujjain (60 km/1.5 hrs) – Ahmedabad (Overnight Train)

Drive to Ujjain to visit the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, known for its unique Bhasma Aarti. Spend the day exploring the spiritual and historical sites of Ujjain. In the evening, board an overnight train to Ahmedabad.

Day 8: Ahmedabad

Arrive in Ahmedabad and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy leisure time exploring the city’s vibrant culture, visiting landmarks such as the Sabarmati Ashram and Akshardham Temple.

Day 9: Ahmedabad – Rajkot – Jalaram Mandir – Somnath (415 km/7-8 hrs)

Drive to Somnath via Rajkot. En route, visit the Jalaram Mandir in Virpur, a revered pilgrimage site. Continue to Somnath and check into your hotel.

Day 10: Somnath

Visit the Somnath Temple, one of the most revered Jyotirlingas, known for its stunning architecture and historical significance. Spend the day exploring the temple and its surroundings.

Day 11: Somnath – Dwarka (260 km/4-5 hrs)

Depart for Dwarka, another important pilgrimage destination. Visit the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, situated near the coastal town of Dwarka. Explore the Dwarkadhish Temple and other local attractions.

Day 12: Dwarka – Ahmedabad (440 km/7-8 hrs)

Drive back to Ahmedabad and check into your hotel. Relax and prepare for the next leg of your journey.

Day 13: Ahmedabad – Chennai

Fly from Ahmedabad to Chennai. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 14: Chennai – Tirupati – Chennai (140 km/3 hrs one way)

Take a day trip to Tirupati, one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites known for the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. Return to Chennai in the evening.

Day 15: Chennai – Madurai – Rameshwaram (175 km/3-4 hrs)

Fly to Madurai and proceed to Rameshwaram. Visit the Ramanathaswamy Temple, a significant Jyotirlinga, known for its intricate corridors and sacred water tanks.

Day 16: Rameshwaram – Madurai (175 km/3-4 hrs)

Explore the holy town of Rameshwaram before proceeding to Madurai. Visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple, an architectural marvel and a significant pilgrimage site. Check into your hotel in Madurai.

Day 17: Madurai – Hyderabad

Fly to Hyderabad and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day exploring the city’s historical sites, such as the Charminar and Golconda Fort.

Day 18: Hyderabad – Srisailam (215 km/4-5 hrs)

Drive to Srisailam, home to the Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga. Explore the temple complex and the surrounding scenic beauty. Check into your hotel in Srisailam.

Day 19: Srisailam – Hyderabad (215 km/4-5 hrs) – Kolkata

Return to Hyderabad for your flight to Kolkata. Transfer to your hotel upon arrival and relax.

Day 20: Kolkata – Ganga Sagar – Jasidih (Overnight Train)

Drive to Ganga Sagar and enjoy a boat ride from Namkhana. After exploring the holy island, return to Kolkata and take an overnight train to Jasidih.

Day 21: Jasidih – Baidyanath Temple (Vaidyanath) – Bodhgaya

Drive to Deogarh and visit Baidyanath Jyotirlinga. Proceed to Bodhgaya, a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site, and check into your hotel.

Day 22: Bodhgaya – Varanasi (250 km/5-6 hrs)

Explore Bodhgaya, visiting the Bodhi Tree and Mahabodhi Temple. Later, drive to Varanasi and check into your hotel.

Day 23: Varanasi

Enjoy a sunrise boat cruise on the Ganges to see the various ghats. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Banaras Hindu University, and explore the local bazaars.

Day 24: Varanasi – New Delhi

Fly to Delhi and visit the Lotus Temple. Check into your hotel and relax.

Day 25: Delhi – Rishikesh (225 km/4-5 hrs)

Drive to Rishikesh and visit Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula, and attend the evening aarti at Triveni Ghat. Check into your hotel.

Day 26: Rishikesh – Guptkashi (190 km/6 hrs)

Drive to Guptkashi and check into your hotel. Prepare for the next day’s journey to Kedarnath.

Day 27: Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Guptkashi

Utilize the services of a pony (pay locally) to reach Kedarnath. Have darshan at the temple and return to Guptkashi.

Day 28: Guptkashi – Haridwar (220 km/7.5 hrs)

Drive to Haridwar and attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 29: Haridwar – Delhi (210 km/5 hrs)

Enjoy a city tour of Haridwar, visiting ashrams and temples such as Maya Devi, Daksha Mahadev, Sapta Rishi, and Ramanand Ashram. Later, drive to Delhi and check into your hotel.

Day 30: Delhi – Departure

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight, concluding your spiritual journey across India.
