Day 01: Arrive at Leh Airport (3505 meters / 11567 ft)

Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to the hotel. Complete rest for the first half. After lunch, if suitable, visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and Leh Market.

• Shanti Stupa: A white-domed Buddhist Stupa built to promote world peace and prosperity. Known for its unique structure and picturesque views.
• Leh Palace: A 17th-century former royal palace, modeled after the Potala Palace in Tibet, housing a museum and prayer room. Offers panoramic views of Leh and the Zanskar mountains.
• Leh Main Market: A vibrant hub offering a variety of products from jewelry and clothing to groceries and local street food.

Day 02: Leh – Sangam – Hall of Fame – Magnetic Hill – Gurudwara Pathar Sahib

After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion:

• Sangam View: Where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet. Option for river rafting (own cost).
• Magnetic Hill: A stretch of road on the Leh-Kargil Highway known for its gravity-defying phenomenon.
• Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: Built in 1517 to honor Guru Nanak’s visit to Ladakh.
• Spituk Monastery: Home to the wish-fulfilling Kali Mata.
• Hall of Fame: A war memorial museum.

Return to Leh for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh – Nubra Valley (via Khardongla Pass)

After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at 18,300 feet. Enjoy the stunning views. Explore the valley and visit Hunder, known for its rolling sand dunes and double-humped camels. Option for a camel safari (own cost). Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 04: Nubra – Turtuk Village – Nubra

After breakfast, drive to Turtuk, a village annexed by India after the 1971 war. Turtuk is one of the only Balti villages in India and lies close to the LOC. Explore the village, known for its unique culture and views of the Shayok Valley and, on clear days, the K2 Mountain peak across the border in Pakistan. Return to Hunder by evening. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 05: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok

After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok and onto Tangtse and Spangmik. Visit Disket Monastery en route. The road follows the Shyok River and descends into Shayok village. Reach Pangong Lake in the afternoon and enjoy the majestic lake. Overnight stay in cottages/camps at Pangong.

Day 06: Pangong Lake – Leh (via Changla Pass)

Early morning, enjoy a photo session around the lake. After breakfast, drive to Leh via Changla Pass. Visit Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Gompa, and Rancho School on the way. Reach Leh by noon. Relax and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Leh Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Leh Airport for your return journey, taking sweet memories of the Ladakh Tour with you.

Special Instructions:

• Only post-paid mobile phones work in Leh-Ladakh, preferably BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone. As phones may not work at many places, keep your family members informed well in advance not to worry if they fail to contact you.
• You would hardly find any cellular network in most of the areas in Leh. BSNL works better here, however you would find Airtel signals also at some places.
• Carry good sunscreen lotion, sunglasses (goggles), and a cap with you to avoid sunburn as sun rays are direct and can burn your skin.
• Don’t forget to carry a photo ID with you. Passport is the best option. Voter Cards & Aadhaar Cards are also valid.
• Leh has only a few ATM machines where you can withdraw cash. But mostly these machines witness long queues of customers and run out of cash most of the time. So carrying enough cash is advisable.
